A redesign from the original prototype made by the biomedical engineering students at University of Alabama Birmingham, Arcos: Child Bath Lift is the aesthetic solution to assisted bathing needs for children. Featuring a sleek aluminum frame with a skin safe silicone mesh seat, safety straps and inflatable headrest, a hydraulic lift that works using your own faucet, and a 90 degree rotation feature to facilitate transporting the child in and out of the chair. Backed by a plethora of research, data analysis and first-hand testimonials, the chair was designed with attention to ergonomic and anthropometric detail to fit a wide range of mobility needs ranging from hyperactivity to immobility.
A special thanks to Marc Buoniconti for providing valuable insight in the development of this project.
